Present writ petition is for issuance of directions to the respondents to release the arrears of salary to the petitioner for the period from 01.04.2016 to 25.06.2017.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that payment to the petitioner as Councillor was made upto 31.03.2016 and thereafter payment was not made to him. Learned counsel further contended that for this purpose, petitioner made representations dated 08.08.2017 (Annexure P1) and dated 27.03.2018 (Annexure P2), respectively and also got issued legal notice dated 28.05.2018 (Annexure P3) to the respondents, which are still pending.
