SUVIR SEHGAL, J. (Oral) Instant petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus for releasing the detenues, namely, Ravi son of Sukhveer and Sagar son of Vinod, who are alleged to be in illegal custody of respondent No.4. Vide order dated 07.10.2021, this Court directed appointment of a Warrant Officer to visit the place where the detenues have alleged to have been detained.

In compliance of the said order, Warrant Officer has submitted his report in a sealed cover, which is ordered to be open and the report is taken on record.

CRWP No.9661 of 2021 {2} A perusal of the report shows that the alleged detenues have been arrested in FIR No.0757 dated 09.08.2021 registered under Section 379 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station Karnal Sadar. In view of the above report, it cannot be said that the detenues are in illegal confinement.

Petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
