The petitioners through the instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondents to revise their leave encashment.

Learned counsel for the petitioners, at the outset, submits that grievance of the petitioners would be redressed if respondents are directed to consider their claim in terms of order dated 15.04.2024 (Annexure P-5) passed by Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ludhiana Range, Ludhiana in the case of similarly situated employees. He further submits that petitioners would not claim interest, if their claim is allowed in terms of similarly situated employees.

Learned State counsel submits that case of petitioners would be considered in the light of order dated 15.04.2024 (Annexure P-5) passed in the case of other employees.

In the wake of statement of learned State Counsel, the present petition stands disposed of. The needful shall be done within 8 weeks from today.
