Through the instant petition under Section 438 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No.64, dated 06.06.2023, registered under Sections 498-A, 325, 323 and 34 of IPC, at Police Station Longowal, District Sangrur, Punjab.

Vide order dated 31.07.2023 passed by this Court, the petitioner was released on interim bail and was directed to join investigation. 3.

Learned State counsel filed status report dated 20.11.2023. The same is taken on record. He further, on instructions from HC Nazar Singh states that the petitioner has joined the investigation and he is not required for custodial interrogation. Learned State counsel says that the complainant has recorded a statement that she does not want to pursue the complaint. 4.

In view of the said facts, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the order dated 31.07.2023 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
