The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of certiorari, for quashing the action of the official respondents herein, whereby they are not considering the candidature of the petitioner for appointment to the post of Math Mistress on the ground that the petitioner could not appear for scrutiny of her documents, despite being within the selection zone and further quashing the public notice dated 18.02.2025 (Annexure P-5), whereby it was notified that no further opportunity will be granted for scrutiny of their documents, as during the said period, the petitioner could not appear for the said purpose due to family reasons.
Further, a writ of mandamus has been sought for directing the official respondents to consider the candidature of the petitioner for the post of Math Mistress as advertised, vide advertisement dated 28.02.2020 (Annexure P-1), as she has secured 100 marks in EWS Category, by scrutinizing her documents and further VINAY 2026.05.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for redressal of her grievances, the petitioner has also made a representation dated 31.07.2025 (Annexure P-9) to the respondents which is still pending consideration. He further submits that at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied, if appropriate directions are issued to the respondents to consider and decide the said representation, by passing a speaking order, in a time bound manner. 3.
Notice of motion confines to respondent Nos.1 to 3 only. 4.
On receipt of advance copy, Mr. Swapan Shorey, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. He has no objection to the innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to decide representation dated 31.07.2025 (Annexure P-9) submitted by the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order after affording an opportunity of hearing to her, preferably within a period of 02 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
