The petitioner through the instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of order dated 22.10.2021 (Annexure P-5) whereby application of the petitioner seeking passport has been closed.

Passport of the petitioner was withheld on account of solemnizing second marriage without getting divorce from first wife. The petitioner at one stage disclosed name of his second wife and thereafter disclosed name of his first wife.

Learned counsel for the Union of India, at the outset, submits that application of the petitioner has been closed on account of incorrect information with respect to spouse and petitioner is at liberty to move a fresh PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2023.09.06 16:39 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
CWP No. 16451 of 2023 -2- 2023:PHHC:117469 application with correct particulars. If the petitioner files a fresh application, it would be considered in accordance with law and an appropriate order would be passed within six weeks from the date of application. 4.
