(Oral) In response to notice of motion, reply by way of short affidavit has been filed on 14.06.2016 wherein it has been mentioned that a departmental committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Sh. Sukhdev Singh Bhatti, IPS. The committee has considered the claim of the petitioners as well as other similarly situated officials and have recommended to grant them deemed date of appointment from the date, they were eligible for the same. The committee has also recommended the deemed date of promotions to the officials, who are eligible for the same. In view of the stand taken in the affidavit, nothing survives in the present writ petition and the same is disposed of as such. The respondents are directed to correct the seniority list after passing the necessary order.
