Mr. Ferry Sofat, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, puts in appearance and accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that let this petition be disposed of only with a direction to respondent No.2 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar Rural, District Amritsar to consider and decide the representation dated 25.08.2022 (Annexure P-12) alleged to have been submitted by petitioner no.1 regarding registration of FIR against respondents no.5 to 10.

Accordingly, without commenting upon the merits of the claim of the petitioners and even the assertions set out in the petition, the present petition is disposed of only with a direction to respondent No.2 that if any such representation, as indicated above, is indeed pending consideration, it shall be dealt with expeditiously, in accordance with law by passing a speaking order, preferably within two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and conveying the same to the petitioners.
