JUSTICE AMIT RAWAL -.- AMIT RAWAL J.(ORAL) Against the order dated 29.05.2013 (Annexure P-5) of Superintending Canal Officer, an appeal under Section 20(3) of the Haryana Canal & Drainage Act, 1974 is maintainable before the Chief Canal Officer exercising the revisional jurisdiction against any order of the subordinate authority for the purpose of satisfaction regarding the legal and propriety of the proceedings.

At this stage, when Mr. Ajit Sihag, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner was confronted with the situation, he sought liberty of the Court to avail the remedy of appeal before the Chief Canal Officer, provided the period spent in this Court in pursuing the writ remedy is condoned.
