Prayer made in the present petition is for quashing of the impugned order dated 01.03.2005 whereby the services of the petitioner, who was appointed as Junior Engineer (Civil), were terminated. 2.

Learned counsel places reliance on the judgment rendered in Yash Pal Singh Rana vs. State of Punjab and others, CWP-2722-2013, decided on 05.02.2019, wherein the employee who had rendered service in the Punjab Land Development and Reclamation Corporation Limited, had with prior approval like the one taken by the petitioners herein as well before the PRTC was wound up, was held entitled for counting of the said service, based on the judgments passed in 'Ram Singh and another vs. State of Punjab, CWP-10008-2006, decided on 23.02.2010. Following the judgment in Yash Pal Singh Rana (supra), similar relief has been granted in CWP-12364-2021, Sham Lal vs. State of Punjab and others, decided on 28.08.2024. 3.

The aforesaid facts having been brought out, during the course of hearing, learned State counsel, on instructions, states that the respondents would not be averse to have a relook at the matter and decided afresh within a HAMANT 2025.01.25 14:51 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-23892-2018 period of 6 months by passing a speaking order, taking note of the aforesaid judgments, which satisfies the learned counsel for the petitioner. 4.

The matter stands disposed of accordingly and if the petitioner is found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to his interest, the same may be passed after granting opportunity of hearing to him and shall contain reason, whereupon he shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
