Modern Steels Ltd v. Esic Ltd
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH CWP-5309-2015 (O&M) Date of Decision : February 26, 2026 MODERN STEELS LIMITED -PETITIONER V/S EMPLOYEES STATE INSURANCE CORPORATION LIMITED -RESPONDENT
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE KULDEEP TIWARI
Present:
None for the petitioner.
Mr. H.S. Bhatia, Advocate for the respondent.
*** KULDEEP TIWARI, J. (ORAL) 1.
At the outset, learned counsel for the respondent submits that a One Time Settlement Scheme has been introduced, and the petitioner can avail of the said remedy.
2.
However, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner today, and the same position prevailed on the previous date of hearing as well. It appears that either the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed or the petitioner is no longer interested in pursuing the writ petition. Accordingly, the instant writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
3.
Pending application(s) also stand disposed of accordingly. (KULDEEP TIWARI) February 26, 2026 JUDGE devinder Whether speaking/reasoned :
