Present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.2 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondent No.5 and his family members. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a representation dated 22.05.2026 (Annexure P-5) has been submitted before the competent authorities, but no action has been taken thereon. Notice of motion.

Mr. Anup Singh, AAG, Punjab, accepted notice on behalf of the respondent-State and submitted that respondent No.3 shall take appropriate action in accordance with law.
