Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing to the respondents to rectify the anomaly in the pay scale between the Library Restorers and their counterparts (restorers) working in General Administration Department, Punjab.
After arguing for some time, learned Counsel for the petitioners, on instructions, submits that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, his clients would be satisfied in case the legal notice dated 16.06.2021 (P-13) is decided expeditiously.
Notice of motion to the aforesaid limited extent. On asking of the Court, Ms. Akshita Chauhan, AAG, Punjab, who is present through video-conference accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and raises no objection against the innocuous prayer of the petitioners.
