Invoking extra-ordinary writ jurisdiction under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has sought quashing of order dated 21.3.2013 (Annexure P-20) passed by the Deputy General Manager, Punjab Financial Corporation, Chandigarh, whereby the offer of sale of Unit was cancelled and the earnest money deposited by the petitioner was forfeited. Further prayer is also sought to direct the respondentCorporation to refund the amount of ` 20.25 lac ( ` 5.44 lac as earnest money deposited on 27.7.2012 vide Annexure P-2 plus `.14.81 lac deposited on 28.8.2012 vide Annexure P-4), being 25% of the sale consideration amount of ` 81 lac, along with interest @ 20% per annum from the date of deposit of the amount till its realisation. 2.
