**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL, J. (ORAL) The petitioner is seeking a direction to the official respondents to fairly investigate the matter in case FIR No. 28 dated 26.02.2020, under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at Police Station Jandiala, District Amritsar. On 22.12.2020, learned counsel for the petitioner contended that although the father of the petitioner is the owner of the car bearing registration No.DL10CC-0930, but the FIR has been registered against the petitioner for theft of this car at the behest of respondent No. 7, who is the Superintendent of Police, Amritsar (Rural). He also contended that there is no complaint and the FIR has been registered on the information of secret informer for the theft of the car. The father of the petitioner had represented against respondent No.

7 when he was posted at Pathankot for involving the petitioner in another case. He further contended that besides these two cases the petitioner is not involved in any other case. MANGAL SINGH 2022.12.

  

       Status report/reply by way of affidavit dated 22.01.2021 of the Inspector General of Police, Border Range, District Amritsar, already filed in the Registry is taken on record.

Learned State counsel, submits that the cancellation report submitted by the prosecution has already been accepted by the concerned Court.

As per the office report, notice could not be issued to respondent No. 7 for want of process fee. At this stage, the service to respondent No.7 is dispensed with.

Since the cancellation report submitted by the prosecution has already been accepted in the present case, no order is called for. Dismissed.
