Through the instant petition, as instituted under Section 482 of the B.N.S.S., 2023, the petitioner seeks the concession of anticipatory bail, in FIR No.83 dated 04.07.2024, under Section(s) 22(b)/27/61/85 of the N.D.P.S. Act, and, Section(s) 29/61/85 of the N.D.P.S. Act (added subsequently), registered at P.S. Nehianwala, District Bathinda. 2.

Before the learned counsel for the petitioner could open his arguments, the learned State counsel, who is in receipt of advance notice, has, on instructions imparted to him by A.S.I. Rajinder Singh, informed this Court that, in fact, the petitioner is involved in five more criminal cases, out of which, four cases have been registered under the N.D.P.S. Act.
