The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of the BNSS, 2023 seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents No.2 to 4 to consider and decide the representation dated 26.01.2026 (Annexure P-2).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already submitted representation dated 26.01.2026 (Annexure P-2) to respondent No.3-Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Chandigarh, raising the grievances raised in the present petition, but no action has been taken thereon so far. He further submits that, at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.3 to consider and decide the aforesaid representation in a time-bound manner and to take action in accordance with law.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case and in view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, respondent No.3-Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Chandigarh, is directed to look into the representation dated 26.01.2026 (Annexure P-2)and decide the same, in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 6.
