Valuable items seized from the house of petitioner in the course of alleged investigation are said to have been secreted by the police. A complaint given to the higher police authorities has not yielded any result. The petitioner seeks for registration of a complaint for offences under Section 409 read with 120B IPC against respondents No.5 to 9. The petitioner is at liberty to file a private complaint under Section 200 Cr.P.C before the jurisdictional Magistrate and seek for appropriate orders. A writ remedy is not appropriate remedy in a situation like this and the writ petition is disposed of with the above observations to resort to an alternative remedy in the manner provided under the Criminal Procedure Code.

Independent of the procedure that could be adopted in the manner indicated above, the respondent Nos.1 and 2 may also consider
