Through instant civil writ petition, preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioners have sought issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the official respondents No.1 and 2 to order promotion as per Punjab Roadways (Operational) State Services Class III (First Amendment) Rules, 2000 (P-2 & P-3).

Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that though legal notice dated 23.04.2018 (P-11) has been duly served upon the respondents but till date neither any reply has been received nor any decision has been taken by the respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that petitioners feel satisfied in case direction is issued to respondents No.2 & 3 to decide their SONIKA 2018.09.24 12:49 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents No.2 & 3 to look into the grievances unfolded by the petitioners in legal notice dated 23.04.2018 (P-11) and to take a conscious decision in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
