By this petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus directing the official respondents to get the detenue, Priyanka @ Samridhi daughter of Sabarmal Goyal (adopted daughter of the petitioner), released from the illegal custody of the private respondents and produced before this court.

Though an application seeking advancement of the date of hearing in the accompanying petition has also been filed (CRM-W no.646 of 2021), Mr.Raheja, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the petitioner no longer wishes to pursue this petition, with the alleged detenue being the adopted daughter of the petitioner and the natural daughter of respondents no.6 and 7.
