(Oral) Petitioner has sought a writ in the nature of mandamus for handing over of investigation of FIR No.100 dated 28.03.2015 under Sections 376/511/365 and 506 IPC registered at Police Station Civil Lines, Amritsar to CBI, alternatively, to constitute a Special Investigation Team for fair investigation of the case.
Pursuant to order dated September 25, 2017, Harjit Singh, ADCP (Crime), Amritsar, is present in court. At the outset, learned State counsel submits that two SITs were constituted after registration of FIR. Investigation in the matter has been concluded. Final report is likely to be filed before the competent court shortly.
In view of the fact that the investigation has been completed, no further direction is necessary. Petition is hereby disposed of. Needless to observe that the trial court shall be at liberty to proceed in accordance with law after final report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. is submitted before it.
