The prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondent police department to appoint the petitioner as constable on priority basis to which he is entitled in place of his deceased father and to take action upon the legal notice dated 08.08.2017.

None had appeared on behalf of the petitioner on the last occasion. The position remains the same even today, despite the case having been called out twice.

It appears that the petitioner has lost interest in pursuing the present case.
