By this petition, filed under the provisions of Section 439 of the Cr.P.C, the petitioner seeks the concession of 'regular bail', upon FIR no.9, dated 21.01.2020, having been registered at Police Station 'D' Division, Amritsar, alleging therein the commission of offences punishable under Sections 306/201 of the IPC.
Learned State counsel submits that as per his instructions from ASI Raj Kumar, the petitioner has been in custody for slightly more than one year, with the report under the provisions of Section 173 of the Cr.P.C. having been submitted to the competent court, but with the charge still to be framed.
Upon further query to the learned State counsel, he submits that as per his instructions there is no other criminal case registered against the petitioner.
