Heard.

Learned counsel, inter alia, contends that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case without there being any role specifically attributed to him. He contends that even otherwise from the perusal of the FIR, the alleged injuries that have been attributed to the petitioner, have been found to be simple in nature. He further contends that a cross-version has also been registered vide Annexure P-2 and a false story has been propounded to implicate the petitioner. He submits that the petitioner is not having any criminal antecedents and is ready to join the investigation.

Per contra, learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Gurdeep Singh, P.S. Sadar Jagraon has not disputed the factual matrix and has submitted that the injuries attributed to the petitioner are found simple in nature.

Accordingly, without commenting on the merits of the case, the petitioner is hereby directed to join investigation within seven days from today and co-operate in the same. In the event of the arrest of the petitioner, he shall be released on interim bail on his furnishing personal/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer/Investigating Officer. He shall also abide by conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
