(ORAL) The petitioner has approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, direction or order, directing the respondents to issue the certificates of vending to the various persons. A further writ of mandamus or writ of prohibition has been sought for restraining the respondent(s)-Administration from stopping Street Vendors from carrying on their business and also restraining them from seizing the stocks of street vendors in view of legalization of business of Street Vending under the Street Vendors Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending Act 2014 and Union Territory of Chandigarh Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending), Rules 2015.
