IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH CWP-5822-2015 (O&M) Date of Decision : 30.03.2015 Varinder Kumar Verma .... PETITIONER VS State of Punjab ... RESPONDENT

   Present :

Mr.Vivek Sharma, Advocate for the petitioner.

***

1. Whether Reporters of local papers may be allowed to see the judgment?

2. Whether to be referred to the Reporters or not?

3. Whether the judgment should be reported in the Digest? AJAY TEWARI, J.(ORAL) The claim of the petitioner is that the review petition filed by him under Rule 21 of the Punjab Civil Services (Punishment & Appeal) Rules, 1970 has not been decided for the past 2 1⁄2 years.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that at this stage he would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondent to decide the said review application within any reasonable time by passing a speaking order thereon as per law.

I find this to be a fair request.

Resultantly, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent to decide the said review application of the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order by passing a speaking order thereon as per law. Since the main case has been decided, the pending civil miscellaneous application, if any, also stands disposed of.
