Prayer made in the present writ petition is for direction to the respondents to issue refund of the amount of tax deposited by the petitioner for the Assessment Year 2008-09.

Learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the amount due to the petitioner will be refunded within a period of two weeks from today and in case, any interest is payable as per the provisions of Punjab Value Added Tax, 2005, the same shall also be paid within two weeks thereafter.
