***** JASPAL SINGH, J (ORAL) By virtue of instant petition preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ especially in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to release the final payment of GP Fund along with interest @ 12% p.a..

At the very outset of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though demand notice dated 29.09.2017 (Annexure P-3) was duly served upon the respondents but till date no conscious decision has been taken. He submits that petitioner feels satisfied in case direction is issued to respondent No.2 to decide the aforesaid demand notice, within a stipulated period.

Instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2Chief Engineer, Department of Irrigation and Canals, Punjab to look into the Sonika 2017.11.17 17:37 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh
