Learned counsel would contend that the petitioners having acquired the qualification of Punjabi in matriculation after the last date of submission of application forms but before the appointment, is entitled to be considered eligible as this issue has already been decided in the cases of Minni Grover vs. State of Punjab and Another, CWP-3651-2012, decided on 11.08.2015 and MOHIT 2025.01.15 15:43 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-21115-2021 (O&M) -2Avinash Dalmotra vs. State of Punjab and Others, CWP-28074-2022, decided on 14.02.2024, interpreting Rule 17 of the Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Condition of Service) Rules, 1994. He thus, at this stage, on instructions from the petitioners, prays that a direction be given to the respondents to consider their claim, in a time bound manner, against the 3 vacancies, which learned State counsel on instructions from Gurpreet Singh, Senior Assistant has stated to be available and no objection to the limited prayer made. 4. In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the claim of the petitioners, taking note of the afore-referred judgments, in accordance with law, expeditiously.
Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to her and if found entitled as per the merit, the necessary consequences shall flow.
