Through instant petition, both the petitioners, i.e., Monika Rani, aged 27 years and Gurdeep Singh, aged 21 years, related as husband and wife, have sought protection of their lives and liberty, which is at stake at the hands of police officials (respondents No.4 to 7 herein) and private respondent No.8 - Raqeeb Khan.

From the facts disclosed in the petition, it is noticed that already one FIR No.182, dated 15.04.2025, u/s 21-B of NDPS Act, has been registered at P.S. Mandi Gobindgarh, on account of recovery of 13 grams of Heroin from the petitioners and after a period of one month, both the petitioners were granted bail on 31.05.2025.

After arguing for some time, counsel for the petitioners prays for withdrawal of present petition with liberty to avail the alternative remedy, as available to them under the law, before an appropriate forum. 4.
