By virtue of instant petition, preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioners have sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release interest @ 9% p.a. on the delayed payment of retiral benefits in view of the judgments passed by this Court as well as Hon'ble Supreme Court.

At the very outset of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners feel satisfied in case direction is issued to respondents to decide legal notice dated 31.07.2018 (P-5) duly served upon the respondent, in a time bound manner.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents to consider the case of the petitioners unfoled in the legal notice (P-5) and to decide the same in view of SONIKA 2018.09.27 11:11 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh
