Mz.Sudeepti Sharma,DAG Punjab Mrs.Jarnail Kaur Dhaliwal,Advocate for respondents 2 and 3 Jaswant Singh,J(Oral) Petitioner was working as Supervisor in the Punjab Mandi Board, Mansa. He was to retire on attaining the age of superannuation of 58 years on 31.3.2015. He belongs to physically handicapped category. Grievance of the petitioner was that he was not being permitted to work till 60 years of age by granting extension in service. Reply by Mandi Board has been filed contesting the claim for extension as a disabled person.

It was asserted that extension in service for two years could only be granted to visually impaired employees as per the policy. The petitioner being suffering from a locomotor disability being amputed below his elbow was not entitled for extension. At the time of hearing counsel for the petitioner prays for unconditional withdrawal of the writ petition. Dismissed as withdrawn.
