******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 66 dated 17.06.2019 registered for offences punishable under Sections 21 and 29 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Police Station Sherpur, District Sangrur. Heard.

The petitioner has been nominated in this case on the statement of one Paramjit Kaur @ Bhuri, who was found in possession of 30 gms. of intoxicating powder (Smack).

Learned State counsel on instructions from SI Avtar Singh submits that during investigation Paramjit Kaur @ Bhuri suffered a disclosure statement that she had procured the smack from the petitioner. Statements of Ranjit Singh, an independent witness has also been recorded, wherein he has stated about sale of narcotic drugs by the petitioner.
