Through instant petition, preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to promote him on the post of SDO Mechanical w.e.f. the date juniors were promoted i.e. 12.09.2014 with all consequential benefits.

At the very outset of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though petitioner moved various representations to the respondents followed by legal notice dated 25.05.2018 (P-11) but till date neither any response has been received nor any conscious decision has been taken by the respondents.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. Of Haryana, Irrigation & Water Resources Department, Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh to look into the grievances unfolded by the petitioner in legal notice (P-11) and to take a conscious decision, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 5.
