(Presence marked through video conference) *** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petitioners herein inter alia seek issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to consider their names for appointments on the vacant posts of Heavy Vehicle Drivers/conductors. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners rendered their services during October 2018 when agitation/strike call was given by Haryana Roadways Employees. At that time, petitioners were assured of recruitment as and when vacancies would accrue. He submits that posts are currently lying vacant with the department. Petitioners qua their grievance submitted a representation dated 22.02.2021 (Annexure P13) but the same has not been adverted by the respondents till date. Hence, the instant petition.

On advance service, learned State counsel joins proceedings and opposes issuance of notice of motion and submits that competent authority shall take decision either way, on the pending representation of the petitioners, in due course.

Learned counsel for the petitioners also agrees that let a final decision be taken, by the competent authority on the pending representation dated 22.02.2021 (Annexure P-13).

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to look into the grievance of the petitioners as per representation dated 22.02.2021 (Annexure P13) and also by keeping in view the contentions raised in the present petition by treating the same as supplementary representation and take a decision, in accordance with law.

Let the needful be done within a period of 03 months from today.

Disposed of accordingly.
