...Respondent(s)
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE G.S.SANDHAWALIA
Present:
Mr. Madhav Pokhrel, Advocate, for the petitioners.
G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The petitioner seeks the relief of old pension scheme as under Pension Rules as were applicable in the year 2009 when the names of the petitioners were recommended by the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board for regular appointment.
Counsel for the petitioners submits that in similar circumstances, this Court in CWP No. 27066 of 2015, Balrajbir Singh and others vs. State of Punjab and others, decided on 23.12.2015 (Annexure P13) has issued directions to the State to decide the legal notice in that case within a time bound frame. He submits that the present case is also identical to Balrajbir Singh's case (supra). He further submits that the petitioners have also served a legal notice dated 27.01.2016 (Annexure P-5) upon the respondents but no action has been taken on the same and he would be satisfied if the same is decided within a time bound frame. Notice of motion.

CWP No. 5080 of 2016 respondents. A copy of the writ petition has been supplied to him. Keeping in view the limited relief sought, this Court is of the opinion that there is no need for the respondents to file reply. Accordingly, without commenting on the merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of in the same terms and directions as issued in Balrajbir Singh's case (supra). Respondent no. 2 is directed to take a decision on the legal notice dated 27.01.2016 (Annexure P-5) within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. Needless to say if the relief is to be denied, a reasoned order be passed and conveyed to the petitioners.
