Mr. Amit Kumar Jain, Advocate, for respondent No. 3. ARUN PALLI, J. (ORAL) Reply on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 and 2 has been filed today in the Court, which is taken on record. Copy furnished. Learned counsel for the respondents submit that pursuant to an order, dated 16.10.2017 (Annexure R-1), the pay of the petitioner has since been stepped up as Clerk w.e.f. 27.05.1990 notionally, and actually w.e.f. 25.08.2006 as SDC, i.e. from the date his junior, namely, Kailash Chander, was extended the said benefit.

That being so, learned counsel for the petitioner submits, nothing substantive survives in this petition, and the same be disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. But the respondents be directed to release the benefits at the earliest.
