The jurisdiction of this Court has been invoked under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, for issuing a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the re-appointment of petitioner as Driver on contract basis and not to employ any other person in his place. (2).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he will be satisfied in case a direction is issued to the respondent/State to decide the representations dated 23.02.2026 (Annexures P13 to 15).

Ms. Ruchi Sekhri, Addl. AG Haryana, having served with an advance copy of the petition, has put in appearance on behalf of respondent/State and assures the Court that the above-said representations will be decided within a time bound manner.

Without adverting to the merits of the case, the respondents No.3 to 5 are directed to decide the representation dated 23.02.2026 (Annexures P13 to 15), within a period of 6 weeks from today, after providing opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. A copy of speaking order so passed be supplied to the petitioner within one week thereafter.
