(Oral) Petitioner prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the payment due to him for construction of unified service delivery centres (Sewa Kendaras). Stand of the petitioner is that the work has been completed and final bill has been submitted to the respondent authority.

Respondent-authority, however, seriously disputes the plea. According to the learned counsel, the entire work has not been completed by the petitioner Society. Besides, part payment has already been made to it. In view of the disputed questions of fact involved in the petition, no case for interference in the writ jurisdiction is made out. The petition is, thus, dismissed.

Petitioner shall, however, be at liberty to avail alternative remedy, if any, available to it.
