The prayer in the present Civil Writ Petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is to issue a writ, order of direction, for quashing the impugned order dated 18.07.2019, Annexure P-8 and final seniority list of Superintendent Grade-2 circulated vide order dated 30.04.2019.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has produced a copy of letter dated 05.03.2024, sent by respondent No1 to respondent No.2, in which it was mentioned that there are 2 vacancies of Superintendent Grade-1 available, however the same are not being filled up, only on account of the pendency of the present petition, in view of which he prays for withdrawal of the present petition, so that there is no impediment in his consideration for promotion.
