(Oral) The petitioners have approached this Court under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking direction to the respondents to release the land of the petitioners, acquired vide notification dated 06.01.1978 (Annexure P-2), issued under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (in short 'the Act'), followed by notification dated 06.10.1979 (Annexure P-3), issued under Section 6 of the Act, for construction of byepass. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that for the relief sought in the writ petition, the petitioners have filed a representation dated 09.01.2017 (Annexure P-9), before the respondents, but no action has been taken so far. Learned counsel for the petitioners prays that time bound direction be issued to the concerned respondent to decide the same in a time bound manner.
