Paramjeet Singh, J. (oral) Counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners have already preferred an appeal before the Election Commissioner, Punjab. Learned counsel further states that he does not press this petition and prays that appeal may be directed to be decided within stipulated period. The Election Commissioner, Punjab is directed to decide the appeal within one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.

CWP-7386-2014 -2Learned counsel for respondent No.2 states that respondent No.2 will not raise the objection of limitation and ensures that respondent No.2 will appear before the appellate Court on the date fixed.

The Appellate Authority shall decide the appeal within one month from receipt of copy of this order, on merit without taking into consideration the objection of limitation as the petitioner has been pursuing this petition before this Court and learned counsel for the respondent No.2 also has no objection if appeal is decided on merit.
