The petitioner was appointed on contract basis as a Guest Faculty Teacher under the High Education Institute Society. The petitioner was being paid the salary from the funds collected from the students. In order to tide over the financial constraints, the State of Punjab came out with a self-financing scheme so as to enable the students to self-finance the pay of their teachers. The petitioner's services were dispensed with after the completion of the academic session in the year 2020. Civil Writ Petition No. 20203 of 2020 (O&M) petition claiming that a fresh recruitment notice has been issued in order to replace her with another guest faculty.

Mr. Bikramjit Singh Baath, Advocate, has informed the Court that noone, at present, is working as a Guest Faculty for teaching B.C.A. and PGDCA courses in the said Society.

Moreover, the petitioner has not impleaded the Society as a party.
