(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, inter alia for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, striking down of Section 97 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976 (in short 'the Act') as substituted by the Punjab Municipal Corporation (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2014 and Section 93 of the Act, as amended vide Punjab Municipal Corporation (Second Amendment) Act, 2013, being violative of Articles 14 and 246 of the Constitution of India. A further prayer for quashing of notification dated December 31, 2014 (appended as Annexure P-4) has also been made. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that during the pendency of the present writ petition, certain subsequent events have taken place, which are required to be impugned. He prays for withdrawal of the present writ petition as well as CM No. 6163-CWP of 2017 with liberty to Jawala Ram 2017.09.13 10:35 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CWP No. 6260 of 2015 (O&M) - 2 - the petitioner to file a fresh writ petition on the same cause of action by impugning the subsequent events, which have taken place during the pendency of the present writ petition.
