(ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner, after arguing at length and on being confronted with the decision of the Supreme Court rendered in the cases of Saurabh Chaudri Vs Union of India (2003) 11 SCC 146 and Saurabh Dwivedi and others Vs Union of India and others (2017) 7 SCC 626, prays for and is permitted to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to raise her grievance before the Administrative Secretary, Department of Medical Education and Research, Punjab in terms of Rule 24 of the notification dated 22.09.2021 (Annexure P-5) issued by the Government of Punjab. Mr. Vikas Mohan Gupta, learned Additional Advocate General, Punjab, on instructions from Mr.
Rahul Gupta, Additional Secretary, Medical Research and Education, Punjab, submits that in case the petitioner approaches the respondent-authorities with a representation, they would take up and decide the same expeditiously in accordance with the admission procedure and rules notified by the Government of Punjab on 22.09.2021. In view of the submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the statement of learned State counsel, the writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn.
