The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to the respondents to prematurely forthwith release the petitioner, as the respondents have already released a number of prisoners from jail, who had committed more heinous crime than the petitioner. The petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents concerned, to within three weeks from today, through a speaking order, decide representation carried in Annexure P.2. If the petitioner is still aggrieved, he can recourse the appropriate remedies available to him under law.
