Through this writ petition, the petitioner prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondent No.2 to inquire into the complaint dated 22.11.2020 and to take civil and criminal action against the ex-Sarpanch (respondent No.5) in accordance with the provisions of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994.

Mr. Navdeep Chhabra, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, has entered appearance on behalf of the respondents No.1 to 3 pursuant to supply of the advance copy of the writ petition and on instructions from Mr.S.K.Khosla, Law Officer, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab, submits that the matter has already been inquired into on more than one occasion and nothing substantial has been found out on such inquiry.

Civil Writ Petition No. 21484 of 2021 rejection of his complaint. He prays for permission to withdraw the writ petition in order to challenge the same.
