(ORAL) After arguing for a while, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the instant petition, while submitting that the petitioner would be surrendering before the trial Court and would move an application there for seeking the relief of regular bail and he further prays that the trial Court be directed to decide the bail application, so moved, within some specific time frame.

Ms. Samina Dhir, learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who has appeared in this case in pursuance of the copy of this petition having been sent to the respondent-State in advance, submits that she has no objection to the above-discussed submission as well as the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

Resultantly, the petition in hand stands dismissed for having been withdrawn. However, in case the petitioner surrenders before the trial Court and moves the application for seeking the regular bail, the same be decided preferably within a period of one week. (MEENAKSHI I. MEHTA) JUDGE 25.10.2021.
