JASWANT SINGH, J. (ORAL) Jagtar Singh (petitioner no.1) and Amandeep Singh (petitioner no.2) were engaged as Computer Programmer and Block Level Facilitator respectively w.e.f. 7.7.2015 by the DC Sangrur under the Multi Sectoral Development Scheme. The period of engagement was not extended beyond 1.4.2016, however, the petitioners were permitted to continue till October 2016 pending approval for extension, which was subsequently denied. The prayer in the instant writ petition thus, is for release of the RAJ KUMAR ARORA 2018.11.22 15:31 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-24953-2018 (O&M) arrears of salary for the period both the petitioners have worked w.e.f. 01.04.2016 till October 2016.
Considering the above facts, this Court had issued notice of motion for today.
At the time of resumed hearing, learned State counsel has placed on record certified copy of letter sent by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development), Sangrur, addressed to the Deputy Director, Directorate of Social Justice Empowerment and Minorities, Punjab, Chandigarh, wherein, it is mentioned that Mr.Jagtar Singh (Petitioner No.1) and Amandeep Singh (Petitioner No.2), have been paid the dues and to substantiate the same, copy of receipts submitted by the petitioners have also been placed on record.
In view of above, counsel for the petitioners concedes that nothing survives in the instant writ petition and the same has been rendered infructuous.
Disposed of as having rendered infructuous.
