Petitioners have filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant due seniority to the petitioners in terms of the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and this Court.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that petitioners had served representations Annexure P-4 and notice Annexure P-5 on the respondent No.3 for redressal of their grievance but no action has been taken on the same so far. Accordingly, without adverting to the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to dispose of the notice Annexure P-5 expeditiously, in accordance with law, preferably within two months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
